SUPPORT

We try to make as much support information available as possible on our website but if you can’t find the answer you need, please just get in touch. We will be delighted to talk to you.

Watch our videos to learn more about how the Applied Streetview camera system makes it simple to collect, create and share these vital sources of information.

We will produce more of these helpful training aids so please check back here in the future.

PREPARE

How can I define where we will collect our streetviews?
You can use .kml or .kmz files to define your area of interest. Simply load the files using the Remote Control’s tablet, you will see the overlay on the map tab.
How can I define the roads that must be recorded?
You will be able to use transparent map tiles in MBTiles format. Load the files using the Remote Control’s tablet, you will see the overlay on the map tab.

CREATE

How long will it take to complete the recording process?
Recording takes the same amount of time it takes you to drive the roads if you weren’t recording, simply drive as you would normally.
How many streetviews can I record in a working day?
The majority of our customers will set the Applied Streetview camera to take an image every 5 meters which would mean 200 releases per kilometer. During a working day of, for example, 8 hours that would mean around 64,000 streetviews per day.
How long will the camera battery last?
The standard battery included with the camera will last about two to three hours but we do offer a larger battery for the car which will extend this to between six to eight hours. The Pedestrian Backpack battery will last for around seven hours. Note, that as with all batteries, colder temperatures may reduce the operating times.

Process

How many streetviews can I create within a day?
Working on a 64-bit Windows 10 PC with a NVIDIA GTX 1080 graphics card we were able to process 75,000 streetviews within 24 hours.

SHARE

Is the player provided?
Yes, both the player that allows you to share the streetviews on the web and on android devices are both provided with all the versions.
How are the streetviews hosted?
Once you have created the streetviews, load them to your corporate hosting platform and allow the people that need them to access the information contained within them. We are happy to support you during this process.
